Klinik Pergigian Genting is committed to protecting the personal information of everyone who contacts us or attends the clinic. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect
When you attend the clinic, we collect your name, contact details, and the medical and dental history needed to treat you safely. Clinical records, X-rays and treatment notes are created as part of your care.
When you message us on WhatsApp, we receive your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name, and whatever you choose to tell us.
We do not operate a contact form and we do not collect email addresses through this website. All enquiries reach us through WhatsApp.
Why we collect it
- To provide dental treatment safely and to keep accurate clinical records
- To arrange, confirm and remind you about appointments
- To answer your questions
- To meet record-keeping obligations that apply to dental practices in Malaysia
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for marketing.
Information is shared only where it is necessary for your care or required by law - for example with a dental laboratory making your crown or denture, with a specialist we refer you to, or where a legal obligation applies.
Messages you send us travel through WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta and governed by its own privacy policy. We have no control over how WhatsApp handles message data in transit.
Please do not send detailed medical history or images of a sensitive nature over WhatsApp. Bring them to your appointment instead.
How long we keep it
Clinical records are retained for the period required of dental practices in Malaysia. WhatsApp conversations are retained only as long as they are useful for arranging your care.
Your rights under the PDPA
Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 gives you the right to ask us to:
- confirm what personal data we hold about you
- provide a copy of it
- correct anything inaccurate
- limit how we use it
To make a request, speak to us at the clinic or message us on WhatsApp. We may need to verify your identity before releasing records.
Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how people find and use it - which pages are visited, and whether visitors go on to contact us. It sets cookies in your browser to do this. The data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
